Jason Aldean is one of the biggest country singers in America. He’s known for his songs “If I Didn’t Love You” and “Burnin’ It Down.”
The singer made it clear where he stands on his political affiliations and ideology… especially over the past several months. We’ve seen Aldean get very vocal about his:
- Conservative beliefs
- Disgust for Biden
- Strong stance against mask mandates
Aldean’s wife and sister also teamed up and launched an exclusive pop-up conservative clothing line. The clothing was only available for three days after the brand went live on November 8. The proceeds from the purchases went to a charity known as the “Special Forces Charitable Trust,” which helps support military families.
Even before launching their exclusive conservative clothing brand… Aldean’s wife was seen on her Instagram wearing printed clothes that mocked Biden.
Are Conservative Artists Discriminated in the Music Industry?
The Aldeans are not shy when it comes to expressing their political opinions, beliefs, and affiliation.
Jason Aldean continues to be open with his ideology. But this time, he says that he and his wife are not alone in their beliefs, and many other country artists feel the same way.
He was recently interviewed on the popular radio show Audacy’s Rob + Holly. There Aldean elaborated on his beliefs and efforts.
“I think people know where I stand politically. I’m not a guy that’s just going to go out there and start trying to stir the pot. If there’s something I want to say, something I feel like I want to address… then I’ll do that.” Aldean said.
Then he pointed out the discrimination happening to our conservatives in the music industry. “At some point, it’s gotten to the point where if you’re a conservative in this business, you’re not allowed to speak. Trust me, I have a lot of friends in this business that thinks the way I think… and a lot of them are terrified to stand up and say anything for fear of backlash… or whatever the case may be.”
Aldean gets more candid as he shares the need for our conservative artists to speak up. He said, “To me, it’s hard to lay my head down at night with a clear conscience. [I’m] feeling like I’m a coward for not saying the things I want to say that I feel like need to be said.”
He finishes out by saying, “From that, let the chips fall where they may. People will have their opinion about whatever I say or think… and that’s completely fine. You don’t have to agree with me. I don’t expect everybody to agree with me, but I also have a voice and an opinion, just like everybody else. There are times when I feel like I don’t have a choice but to speak up or say something… because I feel like nobody else in the industry or not many people in our industry do that for fear. I feel like somebody has got to be that guy. And if it’s me, then that’s fine.”
At this point, Jason Aldean won’t hold back further when he feels that it is necessary to speak out. He is a proud conservative in the music industry… and he deserves respect.
You have to appreciate his honesty and must give him respect for speaking his mind even if it is unpopular in his business. More and more conservatives are speaking out and they should be. What the Biden administration has done to ruin our country should have everyone speaking out about it no matter what side of the political coin you are on. Biden has disgraced our nation and made a mockery of the office for the president of the United States. Our country desperately needs conservative values brought back to the forefront of this nation.
